This summer, we worked with the Army's 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, Watertown, NY, to lead soldiers on a kayaking trip to review the Battle of Cranberry Creek in the War of 1812, near Alexandria Bay, NY. It was an honor and a privilege to lead them through the battle logistics, paddling up Cranberry Creek to the memorial site for the soliders who lost their lives in that battle. It was a very moving event for all of us. They wrote an article about the adventure, complete with photos.
